Snipped in the Bud 

 

A proponent of socialism during the Great Depression in the 1930s said to a vast and starving crowd that, " socialism can put a coat on every man in America. " in this crowd a man raised his hand and said, " Sir, you said that socialism can put a coat on every man in America, "The speech maker on the dais replied Yes! That's true! The man in the crowd continued, " well, Jesus can put a new man in every coat in America. "
