A proponent of socialism during the Great Depression in the 1930s said to a vast and starving crowd that , " socialism can put a coat on every man in America." in this crowd a man raised his hand and said, " Sir, you said that socialism can put a coat on every man in America." the Speech maker on the dais replied , Yes ! That's true! The man in the crowd continued, " well, Jesus can put a new man in every coat in America."
