Worth The Wait?
Is it Instant or do I need to wait?
We live in such an instant society. We stand in front of microwaves wondering what's taking so long. We hate lines and waiting in queues on the phone drives us nuts!
But the one time I actually appreciate waiting is for a good coffee. We all know that we can make instant coffee; boil the kettle, throw in the instant granules and there it is - coffee. But there is something special, either in cafes or at home, about waiting for great coffee. Ah! Standing in the queue while the aroma of fresh coffee wafts over us. We appreciate the wait, as we know the result is well worth it.
This is a small but significant reminder that the things in life that really matter, take time; the growing of deep relationships, the crafting of mature character in our lives and the growth of personal faith.
Maturity in our faith is not going to be instant. God is slowly and assuredly modelling and building us. Don't give up too soon. Allow God time to build your faith. It's like great coffee, worth the wait!
With my personal acclaim,I thank "Daily Nudge"( daily-reading).
