Beautifully thoughtful  snippet by Herman Hesse. One of my favourite authors when i was in my Twenties.

I recommend Siddhartha, Steppenwolf and others.(If you are searching for meaning, direction and some clarity.) A film was made of Steppenwolf with German actor: Max von Sydow.  A film was also made of Siddhartha. Picador (in the 70s ) was the book publisher.
