Social Media and Real Life:

 Social Media and Real Life

 Face time and the time you face someone?

But we are fighting a relatively losing battle. Most of the world's biggest and most ingenious companies are spending most of their  time, money and research persuading us that their apps and screens.can replace real human interaction.

They can't!

 Social media is really anti-social media.

The high- tech companies whole  mission is to replace eye contact or face to face interaction with screen and eye interaction. Which can only replicate,but not replace real life interaction.
Digital life is not real life. Its an imitation and therefore a poorer substitute.

 Realistic but not real.

Face Someone Today, Look into their Eyes and Smile ...
... and see their World light up.

{ Kiss and Hug a screen today?}

  2. I'm not the best example of a Christian male out there but real life is found in knowing fully and feeling more real persons with messy but beautiful lives! People matter and face to face contact means much more than a plastic screen and lack of touch. Try hugging an iphone?

    1. The fact is that nowadays many people rely on mobile phones, and there is less face-to-face communication between people. I think social media is important in life. But when we get together with friends, we can put down our phones and chat with friends face to face to better balance social media and real life. Both are important, so we should balancing the relationship between social media and real life.

  3. If Elon Musk is right, then mobiles shall be obsolete within decades! If holograms become "real" then more face to face interaction will subside like a landslide.Even more the humanoids shall replace human to human contact and mankind will lose the fightback. Forget the "toxic" relationships becoming more difficult to navigate even now real life is difficult for more to "investigate" and we've given up the earnest debate.Hopefully its not too late. ( sorry for the rhyme)

    1. I agree, Ruby, that social media is here to stay. That there needs to be a balancing act involved with Social Media and Real Life. I've seen groups of younger people on their phones while sitting at the table across and with each other. Presumably friends at play. Present? Presence?
