Celebrate Men A-n-d Women

We interviewed author and lecturer Nancy Pearcey in Houston, Texas. She is a lecturer at a Bible college, and in our interview she recounted a story from one of her students in a discussion on masculinity.

The student said that in her church, when they celebrate Mother’s Day, the women are showered with gifts, told that they are beautiful and wonderful, and treated with honour. On Father’s Day, however, the men are told to lift their game and do better. This student’s church reflects the attitude in our communities.

Many people refer to masculinity as toxic, and men are often vilified. Yet God created men and women with unique traits and skills to be celebrated. Let’s see the best in both women and men.
