Why Stars are Angry:

Why Stars Are Angry:

You would think that the more famous people are, the happier it would make them. They are achieving fame, success, wealth, and the fulfilment of that long sought-after dream and that ought to create a sense of well-being.

New York columnist Cynthia Heimel thought back on the famous people she knew before they achieved fame and success and every one of them was angrier, more manic and more unhappy the more famous they became.

She wrote that it was "...because that giant thing they were striving for, that fame thing that was going to make everything OK...., that was going to provide them with personal fulfillment and happiness, had happened and they were still them. The disillusionment turned them howling and insufferable."

It's an instructive insight we ought not to be surprised by. The truth is we were made to know and serve God. Anything less, even fame, will not fill that hole.

"For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul?" Matthew 16:26
