Beautifully thoughtful  snippet by Herman Hesse. One of my favourite authors when i was in my 20s.

I recommend Siddhartha & Steppenwolf and other books.(If you are searching for some meaning, some direction and some clarity.) A film was made of Steppenwolf with German actor: Max von Sydow.  A film was also made of Siddhartha. Picador (in the 70s ) was the book publisher.

Herman Hesse was popular in the 50s,60s and 70s. An indication of his  influence is found in the momentum of the  global sexual revolution  in the West and the growth of Eastern mysticism during that space. His books left a mark on the hippie movement,of which i was one. His contribution waned markedly but he remains a waypoint on the walk towards Heaven. I'm thankful to Cindy for her slice of translated memory.

'Love Tales' and 'Love Takes' are a fashionable way to express love to an everlovely woman.

While listening to Dami Im's album: I Hear A Song, I fell in love with the song: Like a Cello.

It tells a story albeit amusingly of someone who loves her with words of earnest poetry and prose. ( the ever perennial narrative of i searched the world, found a beautiful girl.)

Life does not guarantee happiness,but it does offer each of us meaning. 

Perhaps when we look after number one too much,we forgo the Pleasure and Meaning of helping others find Pleasure and Meaning. 

What do You think or feel?

Given that every life matters, including our own, we all attempt to preserve it.

Heroes give up their own right to life and attempt to save and preserve the right to life of others. We as a society, applaud the acts of heroism and rightly so. We reward courage, determination and risk-taking, whether in a war hero,a billionaire or stay at home Mum.

Likely you were surprised by the inclusion of a Mum in the above statement? Did this really seem unlikely? Did you honestly think that acts of heroism are limited to War and conflict in industry 🤔 ?

Ask yourself why you thought that way? Are the acts of heroism limited to the threats to life and potential loss of possessions, wealth and livelihood? What about the 'ordinary' acts of courage and selflessness in mundane and "ordinary" acts of sacrifice in our life- journeys?
