Forms of Fear ?

 Dear Reader:

Forms of Fear?

Anxiety, fear, worry, and stress are common in our daily lives.

The extreme form of anxiety known as "a panic attack" is increasingly being talked about.

Anxiety, stress, and pressure can be catalysts for overcoming challenges in life.

The Apostle Paul described the external pressures he endured, such as persecution and imprisonment, along with his constant concern for the churches. Despite all that, he still had room in his heart to feel the anxiety of others, for he wrote, “Who is weak without my being weak?   Without my intense concern, who leads someone into sin?Consider the love felt in the words of the Apostle Paul, and then contemplate God's compassion.

There are individuals who can manage that level of pressure!

I can confirm that I have faced similar pressures and have been empowered by God to overcome the stress. Even during my time at a call centre years ago, I frequently had panic attacks at work. I coped! Jesus Christ is the reason I was able to do it! It became clear to me that God is undeniably real and provides significant help. Don't worry about handling them when they hit - that's the wrong approach. In the past, my heart would pound and I would sweat, afraid of the overpowering situation and still having to work. God taught me ( and via my wife’s wisdom & love) that I could to some extent prepare for each panic attack and after studying their patterns, of when, where, etcetera. I had to dispose of around twelve bottles of anti-panic medication after a year or two.

It's crucial to have a doctor involved throughout the process of gaining control over panic attacks and not to stop prescribed medication without their involvement. My other fears were resolved through the assistance of a qualified counselor and the power of Christ. There are still fears lingering within me and I trust that God is addressing them as He deems appropriate. My trust in Him grows as I confront old fears, but I realize it's because I don't rely on God's guidance. These instances serve as reminders from God of my complete reliance on Him. Yes! God is capable of offering help. Learn to Trust His plan for you as you journey this world with Him as your Guide.
