it been tough?
It’s getting better, better, than we had hoped. Can I ask a question?
Did you, find life so miserable during the height of the Pandemic, that you threw your hands up or did you try to find some ‘gold in the apparent darkness?’
Did you, find the days and nights went better when you looked outside yourself or even beyond your best estimates? Did your heart and mind get better with time and some time again?
If you have discovered for yourself through flipping the channel switch or someone ‘pioneering’ with you-- God? Then, you also discovered that God is willingly waiting to get to know you. If so, you shall find him.
God doesn’t reveal his grand design. He reveals himself.
Have you discovered with an open, untainted mind- the reality of the God—the trustworthy and loving God as known in that ancient and timeless book of the Bible?
Here is some advice from a thinker:
A wise old proverb says, “God comes to see us without a bell”: that is, as there is no screen or ceiling between our heads and the infinite heavens, so is there no bar or wall in the soul, where man, the effect, ceases, and God, the cause, begins. The walls are taken away.
If you have discovered God? You discovered that the invisible- but- outside- time and- space—God searches. Of course, if you believe in God and are addressing him in your mind which can seem wacky or silly. (There is no click or touch screen to tap so you can open a dialog com or chat with him.) Then from someone who knows that you can know that God. He already knows you deeply! He has been searching for you, do you believe that?
As I stand over the insect crawling amid the pine needles on the forest floor and endeavoring to conceal itself from my sight, and ask myself why it will cherish those humble thoughts and hide its head from me who might, perhaps, be its benefactor and impart to its race some cheering information, I am reminded of the greater Benefactor and Intelligence that stands over me the human insect.
Henry Thoreau
Here is some more advice from a thinker:
Never cease loving a person and never give up hope for him or her, for even the Prodigal who had fallen most low could still be saved. The bitterest enemy and she who was your friend could again be your friend; love that has grown cold can kindle again.
Søren Kierkegaard
With God, there is hope. Hope can become your ‘middle name.’ with the helpful support of family and friends, things shall get better.
With God there is hope, things shall get better.
Power can do everything but the most important thing: it cannot control love.
Philip Yancey
